About Me

Anyone can do Mathematics!

My name is Dr Nagmana Tehseen and for many years, I have been helping students improve their mathematical skills, build their confidence and achieve high scores. I believe every student can learn mathematics with the right support and direction.

I have a PhD in mathematics (2015) from La Trobe University (Melbourne) and have been teaching since 2005. I have taught at several Universities across a wide range of mathematics subjects.  See my Linkedin page for further details.

In addition to my academic background, I am a mother of three young children. My kids are not only the most important people in my life but also my inspiration for becoming a full-time tutor. I understand how it feels to watch your child struggle and I wanted to help other parents by helping their children achieve success in mathematics. Tutoring allows me to support others whilst still enjoying time with my young children. This is a priceless blessing that makes me very grateful for the opportunity to tutor!

After several years in the University system and seeing students struggling with fundamental mathematical skills, I began to realise that these skills are not being developed during the secondary school years. The school system is failing to provide students the support and knowledge to succeed. This is where I can help, I can help bridge the gaps and ensure students have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of mathematics from which they can grow, develop and prosper.
